Tom Harvey is a Software Developer from Bournemouth, UK
Tom creates websites, software and mobile apps from sunny Bournemouth on the south coast of the UK.Currently, Tom is a final year student studying Computing at the University of Portsmouth; where he’s currently working on his dissertation – which looks at improving how people work together when writing collaborative documents.
As a strong believer in doing things right – Tom frequently attends events around the country (such as DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper days, and barcamp’s) to learn about new technologies and practices. In addition to attending events, Tom helped organise BarCamp Bournemouth 2 and 3, where he also ran sessions on ASP.NET MVC and Windows Phone 7.
Tom believes strongly in the importance of open source, having several projects hosted on his GitHub page; with more information available about each project available in the Open Source section of this website. In addition to this, the underlying technologies for many of the projects in the Portfolio are built using open-source technologies, with information available on each projects page.
